mwfqLadenburg è una città nel mwfgcircondario del mwfwRhein-Neckar-Kreis, nella regione del mwgaBaden-Württemberg (mwgqGermania).

La cittadina, situata sul lato destro del fiume mwgwNeckar, si trova circa 8mwha km a Est di mwhqMannheim, e 10mwhg km a nord-ovest di mwhwHeidelberg. Conserva un centro storico molto rappresentativo della struttura e dell'edilizia tipica delle città tedesche del tardo mwiamedioevo.

Storia

Le prime notizie risalgono al periodo dal mwka3000 al mwkq200 a.C. Ladenburg inizialmente era un insediamento celtico mwkgSiedlung Lokudunom (Seeburg).

In mwlaepoca romana assunse il nome di mwlqLopodunum, e fu insediamento militare romano di un'mwlgunità ausiliaria (a partire dalla fine del mwlwI secolo a.C. sotto la mwmadinastia dei Flavi) al termine delle mwmqcampagne germaniche di Domiziano degli anni mwmg83-mwmw85. Nell'anno mwna98 d.C. l'insediamento ricevette il titolo ed i diritti di mwnqmunicipium da parte dell'imperatore mwngTraiano.
